Robert Gallo Lectures in Marseilles

Athel Cornish-Bowden, Oct. 22, 2003: “I can’t remember if I told you (I certainly told Peter) about Gallo’s visit to Marseilles a year or so ago when he gave a lecture about HIV/AIDS. Among various imbecilities he showed a large map of Africa on which he was quite unable to locate Tanzania (even roughly), despite having just given us the benefit of his expert assessment of the health problems there. Some expert!”
